Analysis of Sediment in Goronyo Dam, Sokoto, Nigeria

Reservoir sedimentation has been a global bottle neck in maintaining the design storage capacity of reservoirs. leads to reduction original which affects irrigation, hydropower, flood control, drinking water supply and recreational activities. Introduction mechanized farming without due regard nature environment is aggravating erosion sediment problem.
